WORKSHOPS: MISINFORMATION, COMMUNITY AND ONLINE SAFETY & SPOTTING TRAPS,
SCAMS AND MISINFORMATION ONLINE
Two online workshops available to members of the public which focus on online space and how it impacts on children and young people and older people. One is aimed at helping parents to better understand what is meant by mis and disinformation, recognise hate online and ways to talk to children about what they are seeing online. The other workshop is concerned with older adults and how to help them to learn about the common tricks used in misleading posts, viral rumours and emotionally charged content as well as how scams, fraud, and misinformation often overlap and to keep themselves safe.
